The Supplier

The supplier is Satellite & Digital Services Ltd (SDS Ltd) of Unit 5 Brannum Crescent, Roundswell, Barnstaple, Devon, EX31 3TD and is the address where all correspondence should be sent.

Placing Orders

You are responsible for ensuring that you are ordering the correct goods, having established that they are exactly what you want in terms of specification, colour and size. Satellite & Digital Services Ltd will not accept return of goods other than damaged or faulty goods outside of the intial 7 day cooling off period.
Before purchasing from Satellite & Digital Services Ltd you are deemed to have read these terms and conditions and understood them.

Product Availability

Our web site is regularly updated throughout the day, to ensure that we provide accurate details. However, we cannot guarantee availability. Orders placed outside our warehouse open hours (9 a.m. - 5.30 p.m. UK time Weekdays) may be subject to change. We will contact you as soon as possible if this is the case.

If you place an especially high-value order we reserve the right to contact you for further confirmation of your order details, prior to authorisation.

Order Cancellations

You have the right to cancel your order at any time before a confirmed delivery date free of charge.

You have the right to cancel your order within 7 working days after receiving your products without giving a reason providing you have looked after the goods with reasonable care*.

The 7 working day cancellation period begins the day after receipt of your goods. You will have to bear the cost of returning the goods to us but original carriage costs will be refunded.
If you fail to return the goods to SDS Ltd we reserve the right to deduct any costs incurred by retrieving the goods from you.

Goods that have not been treated with reasonable care can still be returned but we reserve the right of action against consumers for breach of their statutory duty to take reasonable care*.

*Reasonable care is defined as not intentionally damaging the goods or packing in any way. For touring kits we advise that the tripod be covered with something to protect the shaft where the dish attaches as the bracket can heavily damage the tripod shaft. While we respect your rights to test the goods, the system should not need to be fully assembled to appreciate the size or to understand the alignment process.
Dish faces should not be distorted or warped in any way. Light scratching should only occur around where screws are fitted/removed.

Outside of your initial 7 days cooling off period we will accept returns under certain circumstances - please contact us to check. A 15% restocking fee and carriage costs will not be refunded against any returned items outside of the 7 working days.

If you have decided to cancel your order or wish to return your products to Satellite & Digital Services Ltd, we will refund your credit card within 30 days of cancellation. Refunds on purchases made with a credit or debit card will only be credited to the same card.

Description of Goods

All the products we sell are of a technical nature and it is not practical to publish detailed specifications of all the products. All images, descriptive matter, specifications and advertising on our site are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate description of the goods. Full detailed specifications are available from the manufacturer's brochures or their websites.

Payment and Price

Online product pricing may be different to In Store/Telephone pricing. Products cannot be purchased In Store or over the Telephone at Online product prices. You will be quoted In Store pricing at our shop premises or over the Telephone.
The total price payable for the goods will be stipulated at the time when you place your order whether or not the order has been confirmed. All prices on our website are inclusive of VAT but exclusive of delivery charges which will be payable as indicated at the time of placing your order. Payment of goods is to be made in full prior to the goods being dispatched either by credit card or cleared cheque.
All prices include VAT at the current rate but are subject to change without notice.

Delivery

Delivery will be made to the address specified when you complete your order.

Should you want to change the shipping address after the goods have dispatched from us, a charge of £10 will be levied (a redirection approval is subject to your order and account status).

Orders placed before 12.00pm on a working day will be processed that day and will be delivered as per your request, providing further security checks are not required and all goods are available. (A working day is any day other than weekends and Bank or other Public Holidays.)

If delivery cannot be made to your address for reasons under our security policies you will be informed as soon as possible.

If you refuse the delivery of your order for reasons under the Distance Selling regulations or you fail to take delivery because you have cancelled your contract under the Distance Selling Regulations, SDS Ltd will refund or re-credit you within 30 days for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the goods. By exercising your right to cancel you are required to return the goods to SDS Ltd at your own cost. If you fail to return the goods to SDS Ltd we reserve the right to deduct any costs incurred by retrieving the goods from you.

We make every effort will be made to deliver the goods as soon as possible after your order has been accepted. However, SDS Ltd will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through reasonable or unavoidable delay in delivery. In this event, SDS Ltd will inform you of any delay as soon as possible.

Upon receipt of your order you will be asked to sign for the goods received. If the package does not appear to be in good condition then please refuse the delivery. If you are unable to check the contents of your delivery then please sign for the parcel as “UNCHECKED”. Failure to do so may affect any warranty claims that you make thereafter.

Ownership of an item will not pass to you until we have delivered the item to you (either directly, or by leaving it in a safe place or with a neighbour). When an item is delivered the risk of damage to or loss of the item passes to you.

Faulty Goods

Faulty goods within 6 months of receipt will be deemed to be defective from new so we will either collect the goods or ask for them to be returned for testing. Faulty goods returned by yourself within this time period will have carriage costs refunded. If we collect goods that do not turn out to be faulty after testing then we reserve the right to seek the cost of collection from yourself.

Goods received as faulty will be repaired or replaced with the same or similar model within a reasonable time depending upon availability from the manufacturer. If a replacement is not available then a refund excluding carriage will be made. Faulty goods outside of the first 6 months from receipt must be returned at your expense by courier and include transit damage insurance. The goods must be in the original packing wherever possible and include all accessories and instruction books. Any missing items or transit damage will be chargeable to you.

All Satellite & Digital Services Ltd warranties and technical support will not cover any product, software or components that has not been directly purchased from Satellite & Digital Services Ltd Limited. Any damage, fault or virus defecting the original Satellite & Digital Services Ltd product occurring due to user modification, including component and software implementation not supplied by Satellite & Digital Services Ltd will not be covered by any Satellite & Digital Services Ltd warranty and Satellite & Digital Services Ltd reserves the right to charge for any labour, parts and delivery charges incurred.

Satellite & Digital Services Ltd telephone support will only cover goods supplied by Satellite & Digital Services Ltd and will not cover any enquiries relating to additional components or software purchased elsewhere.

Guarantees

Manufacturer guarantees vary but are a minimum of 12 months. Electronic faulty items can either be returned to Satellite & Digital Services Ltd or alternatively taken to the nearest authorised service agent for repair. Details of which can be obtained be contacting Satellite & Digital Services Ltd. Repaired faulty items sent to Satellite & Digital Services Ltd will be returned to you at our expense.

Ex. display or Refurbished stock

Wherever possible, previously used goods will be highlighted as being so, on the website at the time you place your order. All refurbished supplied are warranted free from defects for 12 months from the date of supply (unless otherwise stated). This warranty does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. If Used Goods develop a defect during the 90 day warranty period, you should follow our Returns procedure. In the event of a valid claim for a defect in the Refurbished Goods is made, we will either:

  1. Replace those Refurbished Good(s), if we have available the same Refurbished Goods(s) at the same price;
  2. Repair the Refurbished Good(s); or
  3. Offer a mutually agreeable alternative product.

Referrals and links

The author is not responsible for any contents linked or referred to from his pages - unless he has full knowledge of illegal contents and would be able to prevent the visitors of his site from viewing those pages. If any damage occurs by the use of information presented there, only the author of the respective pages might be liable, not the one who has linked to these pages.
